This safari tour visits two of the Rift Valley lakes and the classic Masai Mara. Activities include game drives in Lake Nakuru National Park and the Masai Mara National Reserve and also a boat safari on Lake Naivasha. There will be plenty of opportunities to track down all the Big Five, see the big five in their natural environment, spot hundreds of species of birds, and watch big cats patrol the savannah plains!
Depart Nairobi [08:30 hrs] and later descend to the floor of the Great Rift Valley, for Lake Baringo [lunch en route] arriving in the afternoon. Lake Baringo is a fresh water lake which supports a great variety of birds as well as hippos and crocodiles. [An evening boat ride] Indeed the lake is reputed to be the bird-watching center of Kenya. Overnight at Mrs. Robert’s Campsite.
Early in the morning we head south via Lake Bogoria, which is a shallow soda Lake with a beautiful scenery and also home to a sizable number of flamingos and other species of birds. The highlight however is the boiling hot springs and geyser, which also contributes to the beauty of the lake. After lunch we proceed to Lake Nakuru - another shallow soda lake that is described as an ornithologist paradise and one of the world’s most magnificent sights. Here one has an opportunity to see up to millions of flamingos besides tens of thousands of others birds. Lake Nakuru is a rhino sanctuary and also harbors lions, warthog, waterbuck, buffalo, hippo and many other animals. Dinner and overnight in a guesthouse or hostel located inside the park.
We head further south to Narok, camping in our semi-permanent camp located near Sekenani gate at the edge of the park. Walk-in-tents with beds & mattresses, hot & cold showers are available at this basic. campsite and meals are served in the dinning mess.
From the base camp we explore the Mara region which is packed with the elephants, zebras, rhinos and all kinds of game throughout the year, with the spectacular wildebeest migration from Serengeti occurring mainly in July and August. Dinner & overnight at the campsite.

Morning game drive & return to the campsite for breakfast, thereafter proceed on to Nairobi via Narok where Maasai souvenirs can be bought - Picnic lunch en route.
