8 Days Across Kenya wildlife safari transfers you to the great tourist destinations in Kenya and these encompass savannah, Lakelands, the dramatic Great Rift Valley, and mountain highlands. Some of these destinations are home to different wildlife species like giraffes, lions, elephants, and rhinos, among others. The safari further engages you in several activities in destinations like Samburu National Reserve, Aberdare National Park, Lake Nakuru National Park, Lake Naivasha, and Masai Mara National Park. Kenya itinerary in 8 days is a great opportunity for family bonding, corporate team building, and other outdoor activities. Hence, our 8 days in Kenya safari can be customized to either family, group, or solo trip. Throughout the Kenya 8 day itinerary safari you will be accompanied by a multilingual tour guide who will give more information on the natural attractions found in Kenya. A 4 by 4 open roof Landcruiser will also, be provided during the 8 days of Kenya safari for good views and photo taking when on a game drive.

Day to day itinerary

 

Day 1: NAIROBI TO ABERDARES

Upon arrival during the morning hours at the airport, you are received by a Diwaka Safari representative and commence drive via Karatina to Aberdare National Park for lunch at the Lodge. Afternoon and night game viewing from the Lodge precincts where you will see animals coming for a drink in the nearby water hole.

DAY 2: ABERDARES TO SAMBURU

Breakfast at the Lodge and proceed to the Northern frontier district via Isiolo to Samburu National Reserve. Arrive on time for lunch at the Lodge. Late afternoon game viewing drives. The reserve is rich in wildlife with fame for abundance in rare northern specialist species such as the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk, and the Beisa Oryx (Also referred to as Samburu Special). The reserve is also popular with a minimum of 900 elephants. Large predators such as the Lion, Leopard, and Cheetah are an important attraction (Kamunyak, the Miracle Lioness that adapted the baby Oryx is a reserve resident). Wild dog sightings are also a common attraction to this unique protected area. Birdlife is abundant, with over 450 species recorded.

DAY 3: SAMBURU

Early morning and afternoon game drive around the peaceful Samburu reserve, with various wildlife, e.g., gerenuk, Gravy’s zebra, Oryx, and reticulated giraffe, one can also see the famous lioness- kamunyak known for adopting Oryx calves.Option of a full day game drive with lunch box lunch can be organised.

DAY 04:  SAMBURU GAME RESRVE – LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park arriving for lunch served at the lodge inside the park. Afternoon game drives, Notable game within the lake includes hippo and clawless otters. On the shores roam waterbuck, Bohor's Reedbuck and zebra. The woodlands and forest are now home to both black and white rhino. Buffalo, leopard, lion, Rothschild's giraffe, and Black and White Colobus monkey are plentiful in the forest. The bush lands offer eland, steenbok, impala, Chandler's reedbuck and dik dik, whilst rock hyrax and klipspringer occupy the cliffs and escarpment

DAY 05:   LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK – LAKE NAIVASHA (BOAT RIDE)

Early morning game drives and return to the camp / lodge for breakfast. Drive to Lake Naivasha a freshwater lake in Kenya, outside the town of Naivasha in Nakuru County, which lies north west of Nairobi. It is part of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at your Lodge for check-in and Hot Lunch. Enjoy a short siesta in the Lodge with the use of the Lodge recreational facilities. Enjoy an afternoon cup of tea or coffee shortly before departing for your afternoon Boat ride followed by a Nature Walk in Crescent Island.

DAY 5: LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK – MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE:

After breakfast, check out and drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve via Narok Town to arrive for lunch at the Lodge or Camp. Late afternoon game viewing drive. Maasai Mara Game Reserve, so named to mean the “spotted plains” in the Maa language. This is home to the greatest concentration of large mammals and is widely recognized as Africa’s ultimate wildlife reserve. The park is the northern extension to the vast Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, famous for its annual migration of wildebeest, breathtaking sceneries, never-ending plains and the most abundant variety of wildlife remaining anywhere in the world. The landscape is made up of rolling savannahs dotted with patchy shrubs and bush thickets.

DAY 6:  MAASAI MARA:

Spend a further full day of game watching with picnic lunch boxes. Wildlife is abundant in the Reserve with the gentle grasslands ensuring that animals are never out of sight. Birds are prolific including immigrants, 450 bird species have been recorded among them 57 birds of prey. Every year the Mara plays host to the world’s greatest natural spectacle; The Great Wildebeest Migration from the Serengeti. The big cats - lion, leopard, and cheetah. Dinner and overnight at.

DAY 7:  MASAI MARA – NAIROBI & DEPART

After breakfast, check out and drive back to Nairobi and transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international flight back home.

 

Important Note: All Passengers Boarding International Flights Must Be At The Jomo Kenyatta International

Airport 3 Hours prior Check-in. This is because the Check-in Desk Closes 1 Hour prior.
