8 Days Samburu, Lake Baringo,& Maasai Mara Safari

Depart Nairobi in the morning passing through the rich agricultural farmland on the slopes of Mt. Kenya to the mainly dry scrubland and open Savannah plains of Samburu National Reserve. You will arrive later for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive.

After breakfast, embark on morning and afternoon game drives. Here the Ewaso Nyiro River supports a wide variety of game among them Elephants, Buffalo, Cheetah, Leopard, Lion, Grevy’s Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, long-necked Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx.

Depart Samburu after an early breakfast and drive through the scenic areas to the west across the Lerochi Plateau, picnic lunch en route later descends to the floor of the Great Rift Valley, arriving Lk. Baringo in the afternoon. This is a fresh water lake, which supports a great variety of birds as well as hippos and crocodiles. Indeed the lake is reputed to be the bird-watching center of Kenya.

Early morning we head south via Lake Bogoria, which is a shallow soda Lake with a beautiful scenery and also home to a sizable number of flamingos and other species of birds. The highlight however is the boiling hot springs and geyser, which also contributes to the beauty of the lake.

After lunch, we proceed to Lake Nakuru in the South, another shallow soda lake that is described as an ornithologist paradise and one of the world’s most magnificent sights. Here one has an opportunity to see up to millions for flamingos besides tens of thousands of others birds. Lake Nakuru is a Rhino sanctuary and also harbors Lions, Warthog, Waterbuck, Buffalo, Hippo and many other animals. Dinner and overnight in a guesthouse or hostel located inside the park.

After breakfast, we head further south to Masai Mara. You will arrive in good time for check in and lunch.

For these 2 days we explore the Mara region which is packed with the big five and many varied wildlife. You will enjoy picnic lunches while in Masai Mara.

After breakfast at the Lodge/Camp, enjoy game drive enroute as you embark on your return journey to Nairobi.

• 30 percent at the time of booking
• Balance 60 days prior to your arrival

Standard cancellation policy

In the event of cancellation or variation of services for whatever reasons, the Company shall be entitled to charge cancellation fees as set out hereunder:

• Cancellations received between 60 days to 45 days prior to commencement of Services shall be charged at 30% of the total cost of Services;
• Cancellation received between 44 days to 8 days prior to commencement of Services shall be charged at 60% of the total cost of Services;
• Cancellations received within 7 days or after commencement of Services shall be charged at the full cost of Services;
• The liability to reimburse the Company for the cancellation fees, non-refundable booking fee, no show fees, administration fee and the like, shall in no way limit or restrict the general rights of the Company to collect damages for breach of contract.
