The Karen Blixen Museum

The Danish author out of Africa lived in a coffee plantation farmhouse at the edge of Kenya’s beautiful Ngong Hills, where a small museum now celebrates her life and work. Since much of the original furniture has been preserved, it’s a fascinating glimpse into a colonial-era home and an interesting stop even if you haven’t read Blixen’s books. A visit to the original home of the famous Danish Authoress of (Out of Africa Movie fame) giving you an incredible chance to learn more about the widely respected woman as you take a graceful walk around the around her spacious bungalow. You can take a walk around the beautiful gardens with a spectacular view of the knuckles like Ngong Hills, where Blixen boyfriend Denys Finch Hatton was laid to rest on May 14, 1931.
