Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort is an upscale, all-inclusive 5-star hotel set on 19-20 acres of tropical gardens and scenery overlooking the Indian Ocean in Nungwi, at the northwest tip of Zanzibar island. The resort features kasbah-style turrets at the entrance, a huge airy reception with gorgeous thatched roof and North African furnishings, and is located directly on a gorgeous white-powder beach. The property is just outside the town of Nungwi, an area that enjoys warm and sunny weather almost year-round, and is 57 km from historic Stone Town.

The resort features 202 spacious rooms spread across a dozen thatched-roof buildings in Zanzibar style, arranged in rows pointing toward a vast freeform swimming pool that tiers down toward the immaculate powder-sand beach and turquoise sea. Rooms accommodate two people with balconies, some offering sea views, and feature simple design with amazing views. Room amenities include air conditioning, flat-screen TV, minibar, safe, and private bathroom. The rooms are large, approximately 80 square meters, with comfortable furnishings.
Restraurant
Dining includes two restaurants: Spices (main buffet restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a mix of international and local fare, included in room rate) and Samaki/The Cliff (a la carte restaurant with traditional wood-burning oven and sea views, not included in all-inclusive rate). The all-inclusive rate includes all meals at Spices, but not dinner at the a la carte restaurant. The resort also offers a Royal Floating Breakfast experience.

Activities include a certified PADI dive center offering scuba diving training, windsurfing, snorkeling, water sports facilities, entertainment programs, kids' club, and spa with massage treatment rooms. It is one of the largest beachfront resorts on the island and one of the most popular. Free WiFi is available throughout the property, though it can be slow and patchy in places.
