Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, Meet & Greet Services, followed by transfer to your Kigali hotel.
Overnight on Bed & Breakfast basis: Kigali Serena Hotel or Park Inn by Radisson Hotel
After breakfast, enjoy a brief orientation tour of Kigali as you head to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Museum for a visit. Then, depart Kigali and head north-east for the Rwanda/Uganda border point of Gatun. 70km, 1.5hrs Straightforward border formalities and cross into Uganda. Lunch stop-over at the nearby Uganda border town of Kabale. After lunch, head north, driving along the eastern edge of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest - to the north Bwindi Buhoma region. (Approx. 3.5hrs)
Overnight on Full-board basis: Bwindi Lodge or Haven Lodge
Morning, enjoy the ultimate adventure - Gorilla Trek in the north Bwindi Forest - Buhoma region.
At the end of your one-hour audience with your gorilla family, trek back to rejoin your driver-guide and vehicle.
Drive back to your lodge for freshening up and lunch.Afternoon, at leisure - relax at the lodge, as you re-live the fresh memories of the close encounter with the gorillas.
Late afternoon, optional cultural village visit of the Batwa "Pygmy" Community.
Overnight on Full-board basis: Bwindi Lodge or Haven Lodge
Leisurely breakfast at the lodge.Morning, drive back south, and make a lunch stop-over at Lake Bunyonyi, with a photo opportunity.
Then, drive back to the Gatuna Rwanda/Uganda border point. Cross back into Rwanda and proceed on your return journey to Kigali ? with onward transfer to the Kigali airport for your evening outbound.
