Mara Serena Safari Lodge is styled to echo the circular motif of a traditional Maasai manyatta; the lodge blends international sophistication with raw African beauty while featuring twin rows of individual rooms, each with its own view of the famous Mara River. The central bar and dining areas enjoy spectacular views, as does the rock-surround swimming pool. Each luxuriously-presented room is accommodated in its own stand-alone modular unit, with uninterrupted views, a private balcony, and a spacious seating area. Activities include three daily game drives in custom-built traditional safari vehicles, 'sundowners' in the bush, breakfast by the hippo pools, balloon safaris, and exotic Maasai bush suppers.

73 standard rooms and 01 Presidential Suite.

Room dcor: Each of the rooms, arranged like domed huts in a Masai Manyatta, is built to blend into the natural landscape and spread out to give an uninterrupted view of the plains, the meandering riverine forest, and the hills beyond. The color scheme is an adaptation of the bright Masai colors.

Room amenities: Telephone, en-suite facilities, and bottled water ½ liter per person per day.

Number of Rooms

90 modern tents (72 twins and 03 triples), all on the ground floor. (The 15 new Superior tents are both longer and wider, with white canvas not green like the old ones, and have more luxurious finishing & furnishings in the room itself & the bathroom.)

Room dcor: Modern, spacious tent with a permanent roof and zip-up camouflaging with the surrounding.

Room amenities: Luxurious tents with permanent shower and WC, permanent roof and zip-up front and 240 V electricity.

Special feature: Ideal location for experiencing the annual migration of the Wildebeests and within easy access by road.

Food & Drink

With a seating capacity of 160, the main dining room is spectacularly decorated in three large domes and three small ones resembling enlarged Maasai Manyattas. The full-service lounge and bar, with a seating capacity of 80, is located in the main building.
