The Lodge's homely feel is by no means accidental as the origins of the homestead continue to emit glimpses of times-gone-by. The friendly and personable staff help create an ambiance that draws appreciation from all those who visit and stay. Within the main Plantation House reside an ‘a la carte’ restaurant, an intimate bar, and a cozy lounge, all of which possess inviting open log fires that will fill the cool night air with comforting warmth and a welcoming glow.
The number of rooms: 21 private chalets. The chalets are built on raised wooden platforms with multi-level bedrooms, private lounges, and huge balconies overlooking Mount Meru and the plantation. Eight rooms contain king size beds, and 13 contain twin (three-quarter, extra length) beds. Triple rooms are available on request.
Room dcor: The interior decor of each chalet is designed around a coffee theme such as Caf Latte, Espresso, and Cappuccino.
In- room amenities: All the chalets have a shower, bath, separate toilets, a minibar, room service, hairdryer, safe, coffee percolator, tea and coffee caddy a fireplace. In keeping with the coffee theme, bathroom amenities include cappuccino-scented soap. The rooms are also equipped with overhead ceiling fans, mosquito nets, and telephones with Internet adapters.
Meals are served at the neighboring Redds African Grill house, with a menu that reflects an amazing array of traditional Tanzanian cuisine and other African specialties. For the late-risers, a ˜breakfast in bedoption is available.
GENERAL FACILITIES: Other facilities include a swimming pool, beauty salon, 24-hour room and laundry service, meals served on your private balcony on request, curio shop, beauty salon, massage room, conference/private function room, and day rooms. CONFERENCE FACILITIES: A conference room with a capacity of up to 60 and a full range of Audio-visual equipment.
