The Royal Mara Safari Lodge is situated directly on the annual wildebeest "Great Migration" route, near the two world famous wildebeest migration Mara River crossing points and near Leopard Gorge, all made internationally known by the BBC's Big Cat Diary television program.

Rooms

There are only 8 riverfront tented chalets raised on mahogany platforms with large open verandas where guests can relax overlooking the breathtaking river scenery.

Each chalet has been individually decorated with artistically handcrafted furniture and magnificent four-poster beds. The chalets have an area of 110 square meters consisting of a sleeping area (36 sqm), bathroom (22 sqm) and veranda (52 sqm). En suite bathrooms with hot & cold running water are fitted with rain showers, twin basins, bidets and flushing toilets. The amenities in the chalets include electronic safe deposit box, mosquito net and mini bar. A perso nal attendant is assigned to each river chal etc

Food & Drink

Meals are served in diverse spectacular settings, i.e. near a hippo pool along the Mara River, on the open savannah, under the African stars or privately on your own veranda. The menu changes daily and features international cuisine. All meals are prepared with fresh produce and all breads and desserts are prepared daily.

Given the position of camp in the richest game section of the Masai Mara, the Mara North Conservancy (winner of best wildlife conservancy in Kenya 2011 by EcoTourism Kenya), camp guests are in the best location to most readily discover the Big Five mammals. Thousands of wildlife documentaries and countless millions of photographs stand testament to this timeless corner of the world.The Royal Mara's eight luxury guest accommodation suites, all with Mara River frontage, are built on elevated mahogany wood decks with private verandas. Accommodations are a blend of the classic tented safari camp with the amenities of a lodge facility - the result is an exclusive luxury tented lodge and camp like nothing else in Africa. All accommodations are equipped with four-poster super king and double size beds, elegantly hand-carved solid wood furnishings and full en suite bathrooms.
