Sirikoi Lodge resembles an eco-chic African home and while it offers a sure sense of luxury and high level of service, it manages to be welcoming, comfortable and unpretentious.
The Sirikoi House includes three en-suite bedrooms (a Master Suite and separate bedroom cottage with two en-suite bedrooms), which lead on to a central living and dining cottage renowned for its unique positioning and decor. There is a private deck with a fire pit overlooking the wetland, perfect for private meals and sundowners.
Each accommodation has a private outside deck to make the most of 'armchair' game viewing. All the rooms are spacious and tastefully designed, with unique décor touches, a sitting area, big Victorian bathtubs, rain-showers and fireplaces.
The main lodge and dining deck, four luxury tents, Sirikoi Cottage and private Sirikoi House are perfectly positioned along the spring-fed Sirikoi stream, from which the lodge derives its name. All buildings have a view of the lawns leading out onto the Sirikoi wetland and waterhole.
3 en-suite bedrooms with a private living room, dining room, and deck for 6 guests, sold exclusively.
The ‘farm to plate’ dining experience at Sirikoi is exceptional. Meals at Sirikoi are colourful, fresh and unpretentious. All meals are served on the Sirikoi deck overlooking the Sirikoi waterhole. Guests are delighted by the simple and elegant home-styled cooking, and even more so when they see where most of the fresh produce comes from - the prolific organic vegetable garden.
Dining out in the wilderness on bush meals and having sundowners are another favourite experience at Sirikoi.
For our adventurous guests, with prior notice we offer an array of exciting additional activities including.
Horse riding across the Lewa plains. Riding is a fantastic opportunity to get close to the plains game such as zebra and giraffe and to view the beautiful scenery from a new perspective;
Walking the canopy bridge, diving into the blue glacial pools in the Ngare Ndare Forest;
Helicopter excursions up Mount Kenya fly-fishing, or up North to explore the lakes of flamingoes, desert and rocky outcrops;
These activities are additional and incur an extra cost.
Guests take pleasure in spending time at the lodge, whether enjoying a long and leisurely breakfast on the deck watching wildlife at the waterhole, cooling off in the infinity pool, unwinding with a massage, browsing through the Sirikoi gift shop or exploring the vegetable garden.
Visiting the Sirikoi vegetable garden and taking a tour with George Kaberia, the head groundsman, is an unexpected highlight for most guests. Learning from George and seeing first-hand what is involved in the organic farming process is fascinating and hugely rewarding. With spring water feeding the garden, naturally rich soil, organic elephant-dung fertilizer made on site, and equatorial sunshine, the garden produces an impressive amount of fruits, vegetables and herbs – over 80 in fact – all year round.
Guests are encouraged to explore Lewa Wildlife Conservancy’s “behind the scenes” operations to get an understanding for how conservation and anti-poaching really works, and to see all that Lewa is doing for wildlife and the surrounding communities. This includes visiting the Operations Room, Tracker Dog Unit, meeting the security or anti-poaching team, and visiting the Lewa school and clinic.

We wanted to do safari with my wife in Kenya. Diwaka Safaris organized our trip for 17 days professionally. We were very satisfied with all services. The best part was our guide Patrick Waweru who did an excellent job.
