Moivaro Lodge is a charming, tranquil lodge located just 7 km from Arusha city centre and only 50 minutes drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport in northern Tanzania. Each cottage features spacious rooms with fireplace, en-suite bathroom with private shower and flush toilet, ceiling fan and mosquito netting, single or double beds, and a private verandah/terrace. Restaurant
The lodge's restaurant has a huge verandah with a beautiful view of Mount Meru, serving delicious meals using fruits and vegetables from the lodge's own gardens. The lunch and dinner menu blends continental, international, and African dishes to give a taste of daily life in Tanzania while bringing guests closer to the local people. Food is freshly prepared with homegrown produce, and room service is available. A bar and lounge area also overlook the gardens, providing comfortable spaces for relaxation.

Facilities include a communal swimming pool nestling in the midst of tropical trees and coffee plants, a 2.5 km keep-fit trail through the 40-acre coffee plantation, a children's playground, volleyball and soccer fields, bar, restaurant, room service, conference room hosting up to 50 participants, internet service, gift shop, and porter service. The conference building is on the Moivaro compound, about 10 minutes walk from the lodge. Guests can also enjoy massages back at the lodge, particularly appealing after climbing Oldonyo Maas Hill.

Activities include cultural tours to Moivaro village (arranged daily), offering a unique opportunity to see everyday life in Tanzania and make closer contact with local people. Visitors can walk to the local banana beer brewery and sample its beer, hear stories of local eccentrics, and marvel at a tree house fashioned by an eccentric resident. The walk is typically 2 hours long and can involve a climb up Oldonyo Maas Hill for those looking for a more demanding experience. Other activities include guided nature walks, excursions to Mount Meru, golf course 8 km away, and babysitting on request.
