Kirawira Serena Camp is the finest and most exclusive of the Serena Group's safari venues, offering the epitome of classic "Out of Africa" safari camp luxury. Located adjacent to the famous Western Corridor of Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, this luxury tented camp is styled to replicate the elegant hunting camps of legendary white hunters like Denys Finch Hatton and Baron Bror Blixen. Perched on a hilltop in the Serengeti's Western Corridor, the camp blends Edwardian-era safari romance with the wild beauty of the endless plains.
Rooms
The camp features just 25 beautifully appointed luxury tents arranged in classically Edwardian style, widely spaced on timber platforms with spectacular views of the plains. Each tent offers one double or two twin beds (11 double tents with king beds, 14 twin tents), a full bathroom, furnished private balcony/deck, writing desk, personal stationery, brass lamps, ceiling fans, walk-in mosquito netting, hairdryers, and coffee/tea facilities. The tents are all non-smoking and provide a glorious view wherever you look.
About
The camp includes elegant Edwardian-styled lounge and bar with chintz-covered chaise lounges, Persian rugs, antique escritoire, wind-up phonographs, and leather-bound travelling cases evocatively furnished to recreate early 1900s safari atmosphere. There are two elegant tented dining tents featuring antique Edwardian furniture with full silver service, where staff are attired in classical Colonial 'mess' uniform of white Swahili robes. A scenic safari bar with stone terrace and central fire-pit for evening sundowners complete the classic safari experience.

Dining includes gourmet 5-course lunches and dinners served on a table d'hôte basis with fine wines, plus the special Kirawira bush dinner at sunset on the plains beginning with sundowners around the campfire, Maasai dance and song entertainment while the five-course BBQ dinner is prepared. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served with waiters in colonial uniforms. Camp activities include bush breakfast, bush dinner barbecue, and bush sundowner experiences.
