Lemala Ewanjan Tented Camp

Lemala Ewanjan Tented Camp

Lemala Ewanjan Tented Camp is an authentic, intimate, and deluxe seasonal tented camp set in a secluded part of the game-rich Seronera Valley in Central Serengeti, Tanzania. The camp is located on the western slopes of Makoma Hill at the end of a blind valley, ensuring no other vehicles will interrupt your view across the plains during the day. This strategic positioning allows guests to enjoy uninterrupted sunsets with no electric lights in sight in the evening. The camp boasts staggering views of the grasslands, sunsets, and the Great Migration in season.

Rooms

The camp consists of 12-14 spacious en-suite tents (sources vary slightly) set along the Seronera Valley, each with an outside deck offering beautiful views over the area. Each tent is fitted with two queen-size beds with warm duvets, flush toilet, shower, wooden storage cabinets and flooring, 24-hour solar lighting, and outside loungers for early morning teas and refreshing afternoon gin and tonics. Tents are beautifully decorated with practical yet luxurious features, including running water and large safari showers.

Facilities

The central mess tent with separate bar, sitting, and dining areas is beautifully decorated with leather sofas, chandeliers, cosy rugs, side cabinets, and wooden chests. In the evening, guests can gather inside under the chandeliers or outside around the campfire under starlit skies for sunset cocktails and to share safari stories. Leisurely sundowners end off each exciting day as guests soak up the Serengeti ambiance.

About

The Seronera region is an important wildlife transition zone between southern grasslands and northern woodlands, renowned for year-round game viewing due to its abundance of water in many rivers and large populations of resident big cats (lion, leopard, cheetah). Between April-June and November-January, this area is crossed by the annual wildebeest migration, providing thrilling wildlife drama. The camp offers fantastic year-round game viewing including Big 5 on exciting guided 4×4 game drives.

Activities

Activities include guided game drives, optional hot-air balloon safaris (the camp is ideally located close to the launch site, described as an absolute must), and the unique bush breakfast experience. After adventuring, guests return to enjoy great service, food, and ambiance. Special interests include adventure, Big 5 viewing, birding, flora, leisure, nature, relaxation, star gazing, and wildlife.
