Ngurdoto Mountain Lodge

Ngurdoto Mountain Lodge is a wide accommodation resort from standard to Presidential level nestled between Mount Meru and Mount Kilimanjaro. The lodge is ideally situated 27 km from both Arusha town and Kilimanjaro International Airport, making it a favorable spot to spend a peaceful weekend, hold a conference in a stimulating atmosphere, or begin a journey or day trip. The property features lush vegetation, natural streams, and water features, with magnificent views of the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro and looming Mount Meru right in front of the lodge.

Rooms

The lodge consists of 139 rooms accommodating up to 350 guests, distributed across three different grounds: 60 rooms in 30 individual double-storey thatched rondavel cottages (each with two suites – one ground floor, one first floor), 72 en-suite guest rooms in the main building, and 7 presidential suites situated in a separate section with private check-in facilities and exclusive presidential club. The cottage rooms possess a living room, bedroom, and bathroom, while presidential suites feature private living room, en-suite bathroom, dining area, kitchen, and better service. All rooms are air-conditioned en-suite with king-size beds, fireplaces, and balconies.

Restaurant

The lodge features 2 restaurants and 2 bars: the Kilimanjaro Restaurant with multi-cuisine menu and mega kitchen capable of catering 400 people, and Cane Restaurant on the second floor with magnificent mountain views. The main restaurant is on the ground floor overlooking the swimming pool, airy and spacious with large glass windows enjoying uninterrupted views of both mountains. Additional dining includes Tuliza Bar, BBQ Ranch, and coffee shop. Restaurant and bar services are provided 24 hours, with menus typically including East African, Tanzanian, traditional safari choices, and international options.

Recreational facilities

Recreational facilities include a big swimming pool (with toddlers' pool), sauna, fully-equipped gym, and health club. Sports facilities include an 18-hole golf course (expected ready for use), 2 lawn tennis courts, table tennis, badminton court, volleyball, and children's amusement park. The lodge offers guided walks in the large coffee farm where guides explain coffee farming, harvesting, and processing. Children are welcomed with additional beds and a play area. The lodge also has beautiful gardens and lawns for guests to relax in the open air.

Other facilities

Conference facilities include two big conference halls accommodating up to 600 people (some sources say up to 3,000 people), plus two boardrooms accommodating up to 100 people. The hotel has an Internet café, business centre, and provides all types of secretarial services. Twin reception areas accommodate simultaneous check-in for both individuals and groups. Additional facilities include laundry, pressing, dry cleaning, satellite television, curio and gift shop, round-the-clock telephone services, and 24-hour internet access. The lodge welcomes children and is affiliated to the Impala Hotel in downtown Arusha.
