Roika Tarangire Tented Lodge

Roika Tarangire Tented Lodge is a budget-to-mid-range luxury safari lodge situated outside Tarangire National Park in the Burunge Wildlife Management Area. The lodge lies nestled on the banks of the Tarangire River and is a mere 5 km away from the main entrance gate to Tarangire National Park. It's also within driving distance to Lake Manyara and the famous Ngorongoro Crater, offering convenient access to northern Tanzania's prime safari destinations. 

Rooms

The lodge consists of 21–24 spacious luxury en-suite tent bungalows (sources vary) built on wood/cement platforms with traditional grass-thatched roofs protecting the tent from rain and sun. Each tent features large king-size beds with comfortable clean beddings, handcrafted furniture in African style, private wooden balconies/verandas with chairs and tables, en-suite bathrooms with flushing toilets, hot/cold showers and bathtubs, hair dryers, mosquito nets, and sitting areas. The rooms are well-decorated and furnished with different categories (standard, deluxe, executive) and sizes (single, double, triple). Since the lodge is not fenced, animals can walk around the grounds at any time, offering authentic bush experience.

Facilities include a lovelous restaurant serving continental and African-inspired meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) in main building served by well-trained welcoming staff, plus bush/garden dinners. There's a well-stocked Rhino Bar and Lounge with soft and hard drinks, a blue water swimming pool with outdoor pool bar for cooling off hot Tarangire afternoon while overlooking spectacular wilderness views, bonfires/campfires providing warmth, a large lounge with pool table, laundry services, WiFi, ample parking, business centers (conference halls, meeting rooms), camping available, solar energy, and a craft shop with African gifts (clothes, jewelry, safari essentials, shoes). Airport pickup/drop-off services are rendered.
